Founded in 2014, Samai Distillery is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and was established by two friends with a passion for rum. The distillery combines Latin American traditions with local ingredients, and its name comes from the Khmer word «samay», which can be translated to «modern» or «a look towards the future». Samai uses locally grown sugarcane to produce its rums. It employs a combination of traditional copper pot and column stills to create a range of products, with both rich, intense flavors and smoother, lighter spirits.
