The Smiling Gecko Singers and the Smiling Gecko Band are young, passionate performers selected from Smiling Gecko’s rural Cambodian students. Each member has demonstrated exceptional talent in singing, playing musical instruments and performing. Under the guidance of The Gong Studio, the team has trained for almost a year, developing their artistic skills and confidence through hands-on experience and professional mentorship. The talent programme aims to nurture local creative potential, helping these young artists to explore opportunities in the music industry and empowering them to use their talent as a tool for self-expression and future careers. The Smiling Gecko Singers has already begun to make its mark, with collaborations including working with Kesorrr on the «Flag Song» project and performing live at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh. Their journey reflects The Gong’s mission to bridge creativity, education and real-world artistic experience.
